I’ve mentioned Brad Dufton a couple times over the years while he was General Manager of the Cambridge Bo Concept store. I lost contact with him after he left there, only to learn after the fact that he’d moved to Roche Bobois.

A couple months ago, I saw Brad’s name mentioned on ApartmentTherapy, but in Chicago. I wondered if maybe he’d moved, or if it was a different Brad Dufton.

It turns out, both were incorrect.

After Roche Bobois, Brad and Jeremy McElwain combined their knowledge of interior design, carpentry, and real estate, and early this year created colorTHEORY, a full-service interior-painting and wallpaper-hanging company here in Boston.

Using their varied backgrounds, Brad and Jeremy know the value of an aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained living spaces. “Our philosophy is that when there are thoughtful choices with color and finishes, the authentic beauty of a space can be fully realized,” says Brad.

With Brad’s time doing retail staging and Jeremy’s in real estate, they are also well-versed in home staging and have spruced up many properties to make them marketable and appealing to home-buyers. Says Jeremy, “It is incredibly important for a home to be perceived as a clean slate with fresh, bright walls and key accessories and furniture which make a deliberate statement.”

colorTHEORY can work alongside interior designers, or are happy to offer their own expertise with wallpaper placement and color selection. They feature Benjamin Moore and C2 low-VOC paints. In addition, they offer free consultations, competitive quotes, and complementary touch-ups for one year from the time of service.

You can view their portfolio and book a consultation via the colorTHEORY website, or by calling Brad at 617-304-1370.

(After seeing the photos of their work, I may give Brad a call about my living room remodel)
