Where was this event held? That would have been a nice thing to include for those of us that don't live in New England. Thanks.

One of the first questions I asked Gradon &Chris when I arrived was "Does anyone know why we're here, I only skim read the online invite, cos I thought I would learn more about the mission and the plans for realisation of the concept from the Founders. Seriously who are the Founders..." Chris then pointed them out, as they shuffled around the projector.

After doing a quick tour, I came back to the DB group & mentioned that I have no reason to donate for the silent auction, a) I don't know what I'm donating to & b) they started the auction prices too high... Someone must have gave them a head's up, as the 2nd time round they dropped the starting price...

I don't think DB is hating on Design Museum Boston, but there certainly is a learning curve for the organisers to make sure that those that come to one of their events come away with something useful, inspiring and reason to come to actual first project. I hope they read this as constructively, as I read it. Since the intention appears to me to create a Design community that does network effectively & be a true creative force that inspires not only design, but economy & community...

Couldn't make it last night due to work - guess I'm sort of glad to hear I didn't miss much. I'm just hoping the pop-up museum will impress much more.
