This week I started out with a major lack of motivation, but once I got going, I was back on track. I did a deep cleaning of the kitchen which took almost 3 days! The biggest kitchen project was cleaning and refilling my spice jars. That took a whole afternoon because I relabeled them as well. So glad I did — it makes a huge difference in making the kitchen look clean and of course easier to cook with when everything is labeled correctly and legibly.
We also received our crib and changing table this week! It is the Dwell for Target series and I have to say Kevin and I were quite impressed. We managed to build the changing table and bring it up into the loft. While putting it together we noticed that most of the pieces were actual wood! Yes real wood, not particle board or MDF, wood! (Well, some of it was particle board but the important pieces were wood) Although it did stink like paint when we unpacked it so we needed to air it out for a day. But overall for the price, you can’t beat that deal. As some of you may know trying to find clean simple modern furniture on a budget is not easy!
